My Story
“The authentic self is the soul made visible.”
Growing up in Southern California, movies and television have always fascinated me. After getting a bachelor's degree in Film & TV from Chapman University, I worked in TV production for a number of years, starting as a production assistant and working my way up to Production Manager. But ordering gear for other people to use, catering food for other people to eat, and booking locations for other people to shoot at, only went so far. I wanted an artistic outlet.
After learning it was an actual thing, I joined Princess Cruise Lines as a Video Producer. I worked onboard ships for nearly six years, traveling the world filming and editing documentary-style videos of destinations in over 65 countries on six continents. Throughout these adventures, I had many transformative wildlife encounters—swimming with whale sharks in Cancun, standing eye-to-eye with king penguins in the Falkland Islands, scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef, and snorkeling with black tip reef sharks in Bora Bora. These and other experiences led me to my true calling in marine wildlife conservation.
Taking a break from ship life, I lived in sunny San Diego where I worked as a Videographer & Editor for the San Diego Wildlife Alliance and produced content for several conservation, rescue, and nonprofit organizations.
Returning to my love of travel, I joined National Geographic Lindblad Expeditions as a Video Chronicler, and have since fulfilled a long-held goal to earn a Masters degree in Conservation Biology. Now an Assistant Expedition Leader with Lindblad, I can pass along my love of wildlife and nature with the belief that passion, education, and inspiration can lead to conservation. As a qualified Videographer, Editor, Producer, and Writer, my goal is to share stories about the amazing world we live in and those working tirelessly to ensure its future.
